Dr. Nick and Dr. Brook, owners and optometrists at Optique in Fort Mill, have built a reputation for providing exceptional eye care to the local community while maintaining a strong, personal connection with their patients. Their journey to opening their own practice began with a shared passion for optometry and a deep appreciation for the importance of family and community.

Dr. Nick, originally from Chester, SC, completed his undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina before pursuing his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry. Growing up in South Carolina, Nick developed a love for sports and the outdoors and a strong sense of commitment to helping others. His educational path led him to Chicago, where he met Dr. Brook, who was also attending the Illinois College of Optometry.

Dr. Brook, a native of New Orleans and raised in Chicago, always had an interest in health and wellness. She completed her undergraduate education at Loyola University before attending optometry school in Illinois. Brook's compassionate nature and drive to make a difference in the field of eye care brought her and Nick together during their time in optometry school, and the two formed a strong professional and personal bond.

 

After graduating in 2006, both Dr. Nick and Dr. Brook worked in Columbia, SC for several years, gaining valuable experience and honing their skills as optometrists. In 2012, they decided to make Tega Cay their home and opened Optique in Fort Mill, combining their expertise and commitment to patient care in a welcoming, state-of-the-art environment.

Since opening Optique, Dr. Nick and Dr. Brook have worked tirelessly to create a practice that focuses not only on vision and eye health but also on building lasting relationships with their patients. 

Outside of their professional lives, both doctors value their time spent with family. When they aren’t caring for their patients, they enjoy traveling and spending time chasing after their two young children, who keep them busy and energized. Their shared love of adventure and family has shaped both their professional philosophy and personal lives, creating a dynamic, caring approach to everything they do.
